Edition 2025 — Living Nativity of Rivalta
The 2025 edition of the Living Nativity in the Village of Rivalta took place on the evening of Wednesday, December 24, 2025, starting at 10:00 PM. As tradition dictates, over 100 participants brought the medieval village of the Municipality of Gazzola, in the province of Piacenza, to life, re-enacting the Nativity.
The program followed the usual stages: the entrance of the shepherds and artisans of ancient crafts, the procession of the High Priest, the departure of King Herod's procession from the castle, the visit of the Magi to the astrologer, and the arrival of Mary and Joseph with the donkey, culminating in the procession to the church for the midnight Mass. Visitors were offered mulled wine, hot tea, herbal teas, and Palestinian bread from the village bakers.
