Edition 2025 — Living Nativity of Travo
The 2025 edition of the Living Nativity in the Historic Village of Travo took place on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, in the courtyard below the Pieve di Sant'Antonino Martire in Piazza Trieste. Starting around 8:30 PM, visitors encountered King Herod with his queen and Roman centurions, while along the route, ancient crafts—carpenter, blacksmith, shoemaker, washerwoman—and the inn where Joseph and Mary sought lodging came to life.
In the grotto specially set up for the occasion, the ox and donkey were present next to the Holy Family, with shepherds and flocks not far away. At 10:00 PM, the Pieve hosted the solemn Mass accompanied by the choir directed by Maestro Remo Maggi; at the end, the faithful followed the procession led by bagpipers to the Nativity grotto, amidst Christmas carols. The event, free of charge, was organized by local volunteers with the support of the Municipality of Travo.
