The Little FARM Festival in Putignano

The Little FARM Festival is the Putignano heart of the FARM Festival, a multidisciplinary event that has been bringing experimental music, singer-songwriter performances, art, and sustainability culture to Puglia for over a decade. In Putignano, located in the province of Bari and the heart of the Valle d'Itria, the festival finds its home in the regenerated spaces of the Ex Macello, transformed for a few days in mid-summer into a meeting place for musicians, audiences, and the community.

Reaching its thirteenth edition in 2025, the Little FARM Festival has chosen a path of intimacy in recent years: fewer crowds and more focus on discovery, listening quality, and the direct relationship between artists and spectators.

The Ex Macello, the festival's heart

The old municipal slaughterhouse of Putignano has become the symbolic setting of the event. Its spaces host the evening concert stage, the cinema area, and social gatherings, creating a dialogue between industrial archaeology and new cultural life that perfectly represents the FARM spirit: recovering, reusing, and giving new meaning to spaces.

Experimental music, cinema, and multidisciplinary arts

The Little FARM Festival program weaves together multiple artistic languages:

• Concerts: singer-songwriter, indie, experimental, and world music, featuring emerging artists alongside cult names from the Italian independent scene.
• FARM Secret: the festival's most distinctive format, an evening where the artists remain secret and are only revealed upon taking the stage, in the name of discovery and trust in the audience.
• FARM Tropical: a free-entry day, from aperitif to sunset, with tropical vibes and world music selections curated by the festival's DJ friends.
• Cinema: short film screenings in the Sala Mediterraneo, in collaboration with the Fondazione Mons. Sante Montanaro and the Noci Film Fest.

The FARM Festival is built around precise keywords: discovery, sustainability, harmony, passion, and multidisciplinarity. The event promotes rising artists, pays attention to environmental impact, and enhances the local area in collaboration with the Municipality of Putignano and local businesses. Putignano beyond the Carnival

Known throughout Italy for its Carnival, one of the oldest in Europe, Putignano reveals another soul through the Little FARM Festival: that of a town in the province of Bari capable of producing contemporary culture and opening itself to the national music scene. The Putignano experience is part of the broader FARM Festival journey, which involves other locations in Puglia, including Alberobello, during the same summer.

The dates for the 2026 edition in Putignano have not yet been officially announced by the organizers.
