Licata Cantaloupe Melon Festival

The 2025 edition of the Licata Cantaloupe Melon Festival was held from Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25, along the city's seafront on Via Principe di Napoli, with the Food Village open in the evening.

The program offered free tastings of cantaloupe melon, show cooking with local chefs, photo exhibitions, moments of folklore, and live music. On the final evening, the group One Way and the Circobanda performed, closing the event. Ample space was reserved for families with the "Children's Seafront" area, dedicated to games and workshops for the little ones.

The 2025 edition also coincided with an important institutional moment: on May 23, at the Licata Municipal Theater, a conference on the local cantaloupe melon was held, during which the promotional committee for PGI recognition was established.
