Edition 2025 — Fornacette Liberation Day Festival

The 2025 edition of the Liberation Day Festival in Fornacette took place on April 25th, featuring the morning institutional parade, the community lunch at Parco della Fornace, and the evening Big Concert in Piazza della Resistenza. The main event of the evening was The Originals, a project uniting Africa Unite and The Bluebeaters, for an anti-fascist celebration dedicated to reggae and ska.

The 2025 Liberation Day Festival in Fornacette (Calcinaia, PI) opened at 10:00 AM in Piazza Indipendenza with a parade led by Mayor Cristiano Alderigi through the town center, with stops and laurel wreath-laying at Resistance monuments, ending in Fornacette at Piazza della Repubblica.

Following this, at 12:30 PM, the community lunch was held at Parco della Fornace (Piazza Kolbe) at a cost of 19 euros. The afternoon culminated in the Liberation Big Concert promoted by the 25 Aprile Committee, featuring The Originals on stage — a project bringing together Africa Unite, a pillar of Italian reggae, and The Bluebeaters, masters of ska and rocksteady. The event was free and open to everyone.
