Edition 2025 — Borgo San Lorenzo Liberation Day
In 2025, Borgo San Lorenzo celebrated the 80th anniversary of its Liberation, commemorating September 11, 1944. The day began with a Memorial Mass for the fallen at the Pieve di San Lorenzo, followed by the official ceremony at the Town Hall with speeches by the Mayor, the President of the City Council, and the ANPI, and greetings from Andrea Morandi for the Tuscan Historical Institute of the Resistance.
The parade, accompanied by the band, reached the Resistance monuments for the laying of laurel wreaths. At noon, the Liberation Lunch took place at the Area Ponterosso, hosted by the ANPI, and in the afternoon, the historic Coppa della Liberazione, a national cycling race for youth, concluded with the awards ceremony at the Town Hall.
