Liberation Day Anniversary in Nespolo

80th anniversary of the Liberation

The year 2025 marked 80 years since the Liberation, an anniversary celebrated throughout Italy and, in the Rieti area, with a particularly dense calendar of institutional and associative initiatives. In Nespolo, as per established tradition, April 25th was dedicated to the memory of the village's Fallen and to the memory of the resistance era in the Upper Turano Valley, a border territory between Lazio and Abruzzo traversed by the activity of partisan formations.

The anniversary maintains a sober and community-oriented character here, promoted by the Municipality of Nespolo with the support of local associations. The common thread remains the same every year: to keep alive the names of the citizens of Nespolo who fell for freedom and to transmit to the new generations the civic meaning of a date that belongs to the entire Republic.
