Edition 2025 — Li Granitte nghi la fave
The festival of the ancient peasant dish
In its previous edition, the Li Granitte nghi la fave Festival confirmed its mission: to promote granetti, the humble hand-made pasta with water and flour served with fresh fava beans and onions, a symbol of the peasant cuisine of Morro d'Oro and the Teramo area.
In Piazza Giulio Cesare, in Pagliare, the Pro Loco of Morro d'Oro stalls offered, alongside the traditional dish, arrosticini, sausage sandwiches, mazzarelle, and frittelle, while the evenings were enlivened by folk music and themed shows until late at night, in an atmosphere of authentic Abruzzese popular celebration.
