Leonessa Potato Festival

The 2025 edition

From October 10th to 12th, 2025, Leonessa hosted the 35th edition of the Potato Festival, confirming its status as one of the most popular food and wine events of the autumn in the province of Rieti. The festival opened on Friday at 4:00 PM in Piazza VII Aprile with the inauguration, the opening of the stands, and the performance of the Majorette Città di Leonessa; at 7:00 PM, the kitchens began service, followed in the evening by a concert by the Kriminal Folk Band and a DJ set.

On Saturday, the day began at 9:00 AM with the opening of the market and the roving show «Lu Trainanà», while for lunch, truffle gnocchi, gnocchi with meat sauce, and french fries were served; in the evening, the JOVA Safari show took place with the participation of DJ Fargetta. On Sunday, after the opening of the stands, the Città di Leonessa Marching Band performed at 10:00 AM, followed by further musical moments in the afternoon.

Along the streets of the historic center, there were over two hundred exhibitors of local products and crafts, while the fixed-price menu offered by the kitchens was set at 18 euros, drink included.
