Leonessa is Christmas 2025-2026

The calendar opened on December 7 with the lighting of the tree and the Piedelpoggio nativity scene and the San Clemente tree, followed by an evening polenta feast. On December 8, Santa Claus arrived symbolically in Piazza VII Aprile, with the delivery of letters and hot chocolate, while on December 10, the nativity scene exhibition opened in the church of San Francesco, which could be visited throughout the holidays.

Throughout the month, there were film screenings at the small theater, bonfires with sausages in the square, fairy-tale shows for children, and the Saint Stephen's Day toast. On December 27, the local products market was inaugurated, returning on December 29 and 30 along with the band concert in the church of San Pietro and the walk with mulled wine. On December 31, the year concluded with a card tournament, the CAI torchlight procession, music, and a DJ set in the square. From January 1 to 6, Christmas markets continued until the Epiphany celebration.
