The 20th edition of the Leone d'Argento Award
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, starting at 8:00 PM, Piazza Diaz in Carlentini (Syracuse) hosted the twentieth edition of the Leone d'Argento Award, dedicated to the memory of Pippo Baudo, who had received the award in 1997 and presented it in 2001. The evening, hosted by Salvo La Rosa, was promoted by the Pro Loco Carlentini ETS and the Associazione Culturale La Meta, with the patronage of the Municipality, the Sicilian Region, and the Ministry of Culture.
The Leone d'Argento was awarded to writer Giusy Sciacca and the company Colleroni srl of the Fisicaro brothers. The "Francesco Favara Adorni" Sicilian Identity Award was presented to writer Costanza Di Quattro, actor Cesare Bocci, journalist Gaetano Savatteri, and actor Domenico Centamore. Special guests included singer Manuela Villa, impressionist Antonio Mezzancella, and ballet star Giuliana Scandurra.
