Lecce Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Lecce Carnival took place over six days — February 22, 23, 27, and March 1, 2, 4 — with a rich program between the historic center and the Marina di San Cataldo.

In Piazza Sant'Oronzo, on Thursday, February 27 and Tuesday, March 4, the "Carnival in Swing" was performed by dancers from the Dance Forever Academy association. On Saturday, March 1, the historic "Venetian Carnival" parade, featuring 19th-century costumes, started from Porta Rudiae with stops in Piazza Duomo and Piazza Sant'Oronzo. On Sunday, February 23, in front of Porta San Biagio, "Li sciochi te na fiata" was held, featuring music, dancing, and confetti, while in San Cataldo, the masked procession "Lu Carnevale camenatu" crossed the streets of the marina to Piazza Adriano.
