On December 22, 2025, Spongano renewed its ancient fire ritual on the eve of Santa Vittoria. The procession of the panare started in the afternoon, with the olive baskets filled with pomace and decorated, carried along the town streets to the rhythm of the Banda Musicale Città di Racale.

Along the route, there was no shortage of food stalls with typical Salento products and markets. In the evening, the panare were gathered and left to burn, accompanied by fireworks. A grand finale featured a concert by the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, a historic Salento folk music group, which enlivened the festival night. The event was organized by the 2025/26 Patronal Feast Committee, the San Giorgio Martire Parish, and the Pro Loco of Spongano.

• 3:00 PM — Departure of the panare procession through the streets of Spongano center, accompanied by the Banda Musicale Città di Racale.
• Afternoon — Food stalls with typical local products and markets along the route.
• Evening — Burning of the panare and fireworks (pyrotechnic show).
• 9:00 PM — Concert by Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, an icon of traditional Salento music.
