Edition 2025 — Le Notti del Cinema

From July 1 to July 6, 2025, Le Notti del Cinema returned to Piazza Malaspina in Tortona with six nights of great cinema on the big screen: from auteur masterpieces to documentaries, and from animated family films to classics to be rediscovered. The screenings, always free and open-access, started at 9:30 PM, with the square buzzing from 7:30 PM with food trucks and live music.

The 2025 edition of Le Notti del Cinema brought Piazza Malaspina in Tortona to life from July 1 to July 6, with six nights of free screenings on a giant screen. The festival offered a varied journey through national and international cinematic heritage, documentaries, titles for children and families, and several rediscoveries.

  • Tuesday, July 1: Mediterraneo by Gabriele Salvatores
  • Wednesday, July 2: the documentary The Salt of the Earth
  • Thursday, July 3: the docu-film Pellizza pittore da Volpedo, with director Francesco Fei introducing the evening
  • Friday, July 4: the animated film Madagascar
  • Saturday, July 5: 12 Angry Men, the 1957 masterpiece by Sidney Lumet
  • Sunday, July 6: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial by Steven Spielberg

Screenings started at 9:30 PM, with the square animated from 7:30 PM by local bars, food trucks, and live music, following the traditional "Bring Your Own Chair" policy.
