Edition 2025 — Le Manfrediane

From May 16 to 18, 2025, the Palazzo del Podestà in Faenza hosted Le Manfrediane – Encounters and Clashes, a journey into the Middle Ages with conferences, historical fencing demonstrations, workshops, and live performances. As part of the Niballo – Palio di Faenza celebrations, the edition explored military life, dueling, and the culture of the era, with educational activities designed for adults and children and free admission.

The 2025 edition took place at the Palazzo del Podestà in Faenza, animating the historic center with three days dedicated to medieval culture and reenactment. Visitors could explore stands and participate in activities from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, including conferences, educational paths within the Palazzo, fun and sports mini-courses, demonstrations, and small shows.

Among the events were live demonstrations of combat techniques with period weapons, book and graphic work presentations, clay modeling workshops, historical and modern fencing courses, crossbow shooting, and flag artistry. At 3:00 PM, Angelo Emiliani held the conference "When Faenza Played Brace Ball"; at 5:00 PM, Benedetta Clemente presented "The Medieval Duel: Genesis and Evolution." Admission was free and open to all.
