Edition 2025 — Land of the Zampogna
Christmas Festivities 2025-2026
From December 21, 2025, to January 6, 2026, Galati Mamertino renewed its identity as the "Land of the Zampogna" with a rich program of events in the heart of the Nebrodi. Piazza San Giacomo, illuminated and decorated, provided the backdrop for concerts, entertainment, and evenings dedicated to children, accompanied by the rediscovery of local food and wine.
The sounds of the bagpipers accompanied the bonfires lit in the neighborhoods, while the San Basilio hamlet hosted the well-established Festival of January 2nd. Closing the celebrations was the Epiphany ritual with the Pagghiari and the ciaramiddari. The program, presented by Mayor Vincenzo Amadore and the Municipal Administration, aimed to rediscover the magic of Christmas and local traditions, attracting visitors from all over Sicily.
