Lampi d'Agosto 2025: time between films and debates

The 2025 edition of the Lampi d'Agosto – Cinema and Philosophy festival was held from August 20 to 22 at the Auditorium Sirena in Francavilla al Mare, starting at 9:00 PM. The common thread was the question «What is time?», explored through three films introduced and discussed by philosopher Umberto Curi.

The program featured Memento by Christopher Nolan, Groundhog Day, and Here by Robert Zemeckis, three films that address memory, repetition, and the passage of time from different angles. Each screening was followed by a philosophical reflection, according to the formula that makes the festival a cultural event as well as entertainment. The event, curated by the Filosofia al Mare association in collaboration with the Municipality of Francavilla al Mare, maintained free admission.
