Lake Crucifix and Diver Festival

The 2025 edition

The 2025 Lake Crucifix and Diver Festival took place in Posta Fibreno (province of Frosinone, Lazio) on Saturday, August 2, 2025, during the usual first weekend of the month. Around 8:30 PM, divers dove into the lake's waters to bring the steel Crucifix, which had rested on the lakebed since 1977, to the surface, handing it over to the community.

The organization was handled by the A.S.So. Scuba diving association together with the Municipality of Posta Fibreno, the Nature Reserve Management Body, and the Festival Committee, with the participation of diving clubs from several Italian regions. As per tradition, the resurfacing was followed by the procession on the torch-lit waters and religious moments on the shores of the lake.

The Crucifix then remained available to visitors before the re-immersion, which was held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, officially closing the edition and postponing the appointment to the following summer.
