In 2025, La Vecia Marantega renewed in Tambre the ancient rite of burning the late winter Old Woman, on the Cansiglio plateau: a moment of fire, tradition, and community organized by Pro Loco Tambre in the setting of the Belluno Dolomites.
In 2025, La Vecia Marantega re-enacted in Tambre (BL) the traditional rite of burning the late winter Old Woman. The community of the Cansiglio plateau gathered around the bonfire to celebrate the transition from the cold season to spring.
Organized by Pro Loco Tambre, the celebration confirmed its evocative power, keeping alive a popular tradition rooted in the peasant cultures of the Alpine region and the Belluno Dolomites.
