Edition 2025 — La Sciabica

The 2025 edition of La Sciabica took place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, on the beach of Vasto Marina, drawing a large crowd. The event, organized by the ANMI of Vasto with the support of the Municipality, featured the re-enactment of the ancient net fishing technique, accompanied by the preparation of the brodetto di pesce alla vastese.

The 2025 edition of La Sciabica brought the beach of Vasto Marina to life on Sunday, July 27, 2025, with a large turnout of tourists and residents drawn by the ancient art of fishing. Organized by the Vasto section of the National Association of Italian Sailors with the patronage of the Municipality of Vasto and the collaboration of the Maritime District Office, the re-enactment featured the casting of the large net from a rowing boat and its manual retrieval by the fishermen. As per tradition, the morning concluded with a segment dedicated to the brodetto di pesce alla vastese, the iconic dish of the Adriatic city's maritime cuisine.
