La Pace — The Easter Encounter in the districts (Picanello, San Cristoforo, Ognina)

The 2025 edition of the Encounter was held on the morning of Sunday, April 20, in the districts of Picanello, San Cristoforo, and Ognina, in Catania. As every year, the statues of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Risen Christ searched for each other along the neighborhood streets until the culminating moment of the Peace, marked by the change of the veil from black to sky-blue. The rite was accompanied by blank cannon shots, fireworks, flights of white doves, and children's choirs, with great participation from the faithful and families.
