Edition 2025 — Notte della Taranta

The 28th edition of La Notte della Taranta, titled "Under the Same Sky," featured clarinetist David Krakauer, a renowned interpreter of klezmer music and jazz, as Maestro Concertatore, with choreography by Fredy Franzutti. The Melpignano Concertone on Saturday, August 23, 2025, saw a packed square, an increase of 30% compared to the previous year, while the general rehearsals on August 22 had already drawn about 70,000 spectators.

The 2025 edition of La Notte della Taranta, the twenty-eighth, brought the title "Under the Same Sky" to Melpignano. Directing the Popular Orchestra as Maestro Concertatore was David Krakauer, a world-renowned clarinetist in jazz and klezmer music, accompanied by choreography by Fredy Franzutti. The Concertone took place on Saturday, August 23, in the square of the former Augustinian Convent before a packed crowd: the television broadcast reached an 8% share with peaks of 11% after midnight and about 777,000 viewers connected, confirming La Notte della Taranta as one of the symbolic events of the Salento summer.

Guests on stage: Giuliano Sangiorgi, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Antonio Castrignanò, Ermal Meta, TÄRA, Serena Brancale, Settembre, and Anna Castiglia.

The evening was preceded, in the weeks of August, by numerous stages of the itinerant festival in the squares of Grecìa Salentina and Salento.
