La Notte della Taranta – Sogliano Cavour Stage

The Sogliano Cavour stage of the 2025 edition took place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, starting at 8:30 PM in Piazza Diaz, as part of the 28th edition of the itinerant La Notte della Taranta festival.

The evening opened with a Taranta Talk titled "Resister Cantando. 80 anni di Resistenza e Liberazione" (Singing Resistance. 80 Years of Resistance and Liberation), curated by historian Mario Avagliano and oral tradition researcher Sara Modigliani, moderated by Serena Facci and Enza Pagliara; on this occasion, a lifetime achievement award was presented to Sara Modigliani. Following this, I fogli volanti took the stage with the show "Donna non dorme, donna non parla", the winning project of the 2025 "Ernesto De Martino" grant dedicated to female resistance through folk music, and Salento singer-songwriter Dario Muci with "Talassa", accompanied by Enza Pagliara, featuring songs of the sea, migration, and social protest.
