Edition 2025 — Notte della Taranta Cutrofiano

The 2025 Cutrofiano stage of La Notte della Taranta took place on Saturday, August 9, in Piazza Municipio, starting at 8:30 PM with free admission. The evening, titled "Salento and Lucania," combined Lucanian tradition with Salento pizzica: after the dance workshop led by Taranta dancers, the stage featured the Fronni d'Alia project by Hiram Salsano and Marcello De Carolis, followed by the overwhelming pizzica of Kamafei.

The Cutrofiano stage of La Notte della Taranta 2025 was held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Piazza Municipio, starting at 8:30 PM with free admission.

The evening, titled "Salento and Lucania," intertwined Lucanian musical tradition with Salento pizzica. From 8:30 PM, the square was transformed into a large folk space thanks to the dance workshop, led by Taranta dancers, which invited the public to learn the steps of the pizzica pizzica.

On stage was the Fronni d'Alia project, born from the collaboration between Hiram Salsano and Marcello De Carolis, with voice and battente guitar combined with loop stations and contemporary sounds, starting from the ancient Lucanian ballad "Verdeauliva." Closing the evening was the overwhelming pizzica of Kamafei, a group founded by Gianni De Santis, featuring electric bass, drums, mandola, and accordion.
