Edition 2025 — Montegridolfo Liberata
The 2025 edition of La Montegridolfo Liberata, the twelfth, was held from Friday, August 8 to Sunday, August 10, 2025, in the medieval village of Montegridolfo, province of Rimini. The program, with free admission, included faithful re-enactments, workshops, shows, educational moments, and activities for families.
- Friday, August 8: presentation of the book "L'attacco a Tobruk e la mia fuga" at the Museum of the Gothic Line.
- Saturday, August 9: re-enactment of the battle of August 30, 1944, with the entry of British troops, and activation of the original 1940s thresher.
- Sunday, August 10: re-enactment of the German night assault and the recapture of the village at dawn on September 1, 1944; in the evening, at the town theater, the return of the dialect comedy by the company "Gli Amici della Corte" with "La Fiòla d'Gasparon".
For all three days, military encampments were set up (British camp of the 1/4 Hampshire and German kommandantur), with craft workshops, swing and jazz music, period gastronomy, and trekking along the battle sites.
