Edition 2025 — Fanoje of Capurso

The 2025 edition of La Fanoje took place in Capurso on December 7th and 8th, officially kicking off Christmas in the spirit of tradition. In the historic center and in front of the Reale Basilica della Madonna del Pozzo, the historic fanoje of Piazza Gramsci and the Villa Comunale were lit, amidst fire shows, flag-wavers, street artists, tastings, and the "Borgo d'Incanto" competition. The Santa Claus Village and the "La migliore Assassina" championship were also highlights.

La Fanoje 2025 in Capurso

On December 7th and 8th, 2025, Capurso renewed the ancient fire ritual of the fanoje, gathering citizens and visitors around the bonfires to start the Christmas season. On December 7th, after the opening of the Santa Claus Village in the afternoon, the historic fanoje in Piazza Gramsci was lit at 8:00 PM with a fire show, followed at 9:00 PM by the fanoje in the Villa Comunale. On December 8th, the lightings were repeated, with the historic fanoje in Piazza Gramsci and the fire show in the Villa Comunale.

In the alleys of the historic center, the "Borgo d'Incanto" came to life, a competition dedicated to citizens, associations, and schools with lights, decorations, and nativity scenes open until Epiphany. The two days offered street artists, flag-wavers, tastings, traditional food, and the culinary championship "La migliore Assassina", dedicated to spaghetti all'assassina. The Santa Claus Village, in the Villa Comunale, remained open until December 27th with workshops and shows for children.

December 8, 2025: 6:00 PM opening of Santa Claus Village; 7:00 PM historic Fanoje in Piazza Gramsci; 8:00 PM Fanoje in the Villa Comunale with fire show; street artists, flag-wavers, tastings, Borgo d'Incanto, and traditional food.
