Mountain, Alpine, and Folk Songs at the Teatro del Falco in Montefalcone Appennino
The Teatro del Falco in Montefalcone Appennino, a small village in the Province of Fermo overlooking the Sibillini Mountains like a natural balcony, hosts the concert of the Coro La Cordata from Montalto delle Marche. The evening, dedicated to folk and mountain singing, is an event designed for lovers of choral tradition and for those who enjoy rediscovering the most picturesque villages of the Marche region.
The program features a repertoire of mountain, alpine, and folk songs, performed exclusively by male voices a cappella. The performances draw from the great tradition of Italian mountain singing, with pieces from the Trentino, Piedmont, and Lombard regions: a musical journey through the atmospheres of the Alps and the stories of men, friendship, work, and memory. A cappella singing, without instrumental accompaniment, highlights the depth and harmony of the male voices.
Founded in 1987, the Coro La Cordata from Montalto delle Marche is a male equal-voice ensemble (first and second tenors, baritones, and basses) directed by Maestro Patrizio Paci. For over thirty years, it has been dedicated to the study and dissemination of mountain, alpine, and folk singing, maintaining the genuine character of traditional music. In its home town, it organizes the annual Festival degli Appennini, an event that attracts prestigious Italian choral groups to the Marche region.
The concert is also an opportunity to visit Montefalcone Appennino, one of the smallest and most characteristic municipalities in the Province of Fermo, perched on a rocky spur offering spectacular views of the entire Sibillini mountain range. A walk through the village before the evening event completes the experience, combining music, landscape, and the culture of the Marche territory.
