Edition 2025 — Castagnata di Bormida

In 2025, La Castagnata enlivened Bormida with autumn flavours: roasted chestnuts, chestnuts with cream, mulled wine, and typical desserts in the Chiesa hamlet square. Organized by the Pro Loco, the festival attracted visitors from the Savona hinterland, confirming the mountain village's connection to its traditions.

The 2025 edition of La Castagnata in Bormida confirmed the tradition of the autumn festival dedicated to chestnuts. In the square of the Chiesa hamlet, the stands of Pro Loco Bormida offered steaming roasted chestnuts, chestnuts with cream, mulled wine, fritters, and typical desserts, during a well-attended festive day. The event reaffirmed the strong bond of the Bormida community with its gastronomic heritage and the peasant traditions of the upper Val Bormida, in the province of Savona.
