Edition 2025 — Castagna in Festa

The 39th edition of La Castagna in Festa took place in Arcidosso over two weekends, October 17-19 and 24-26, 2025. With the slogan "a village that lives," the medieval village of Mount Amiata opened its rock-carved cellars and district food stalls to celebrate the Monte Amiata PGI chestnut, featuring roasted chestnuts, chestnut polenta, craft markets, music, and tours of the Rocca Aldobrandesca, involving the entire community in a grand celebration of Amiata flavors and tradition.

La Castagna in Festa 2025 - 39th edition

The 39th edition of La Castagna in Festa was held in Arcidosso, in the province of Grosseto, over two weekends: October 17-19 and 24-26, 2025. Under the slogan "a village that lives," Pro Loco Arcidosso enlivened the historic center with the opening of cellars carved into the rock, district food stalls, and the Nido delle Fate stand, all dedicated to traditional dishes based on Monte Amiata PGI chestnuts.

Throughout the village streets, there were craft and local product markets, wandering music, dancing, and entertainment, as well as guided tours of the Rocca Aldobrandesca and city museums. A well-attended festival that confirmed Arcidosso as the capital of the Amiata autumn.
