Kastelruther Bergweihnacht (Christmas Market)

In 2025, the Kastelruther Bergweihnacht once again confirmed its intimate and traditional character in the historic square of Castelrotto, on the Sciliar Plateau in the province of Bolzano. Local farmers, hoteliers, and artisans offered hand-knitted sweaters and garments, wooden figurines for nativity scenes, candles, and felt work, alongside South Tyrolean culinary specialties.

There was no shortage of mulled wine, Zelten, gingerbread, and the famous Kastelruther Krapfen, while the musical program featured performances by brass bands, choirs, and horn players. The most anticipated moment was the Christmas concert by the Kastelruther Spatzen at the Telfen tennis center, featuring an evening of Christmas carols much loved by the public.
