Edition 2025 — Ju Calenne

In 2025, Tornimparte once again renewed the millenary tradition of Ju Calenne on the night of April 30th to May 1st. A large trunk was felled in the woods and raised in front of the Church of San Panfilo to celebrate the arrival of spring. After midnight, the community gathered around the bonfire with traditional dishes and wine, bringing together village residents and visitors from across the L'Aquila territory and Abruzzo.

The 2025 edition of Ju Calenne took place on the night of April 30th to May 1st in Tornimparte, in the province of L'Aquila. As per the ancient propitiatory rite with remote origins, the maggiaioli felled and raised the large tree in front of the Church of San Panfilo, starting the nocturnal celebration. After midnight, around the fire, the community shared traditional cuisine and wine. The event, organized by the Pro Loco and the residents, welcomed numerous visitors from Tornimparte and the surrounding areas, confirming the vitality of a tradition deeply rooted in the village's identity.
