Jonio Jazz Festival 2025 — the 16th edition
The sixteenth edition of the Jonio Jazz Festival enlivened Faggiano on August 8 and 9, 2025, starting at 9:00 PM, with the usual format spread across three squares (Largo Sandro Pertini, Largo Vittorio Emanuele, Largo San Nicola) and six concerts in total.
Friday, August 8: in Largo Vittorio Emanuele, the N.I.B. trio led by Argentine saxophonist Martin Iacobsen; in Largo San Nicola, the Fantasy Paths duo with Stefania Arcieri and Marco Cutillo, blending jazz and singer-songwriter styles; at 10:30 PM in Largo Pertini, the Afro Cuban Reunion, with artists from Réunion Island, Cuba, and Italy, including Latin Grammy winner Dany Noel.
Saturday, August 9: in Largo Vittorio Emanuele, Salento saxophonist Fulvio Palese with the project "Non mi chiamo Fausto"; in Largo San Nicola, the trio of guitarist Alessandro Piraino with a tribute to Wes Montgomery and Pat Metheny; closing in Largo Pertini, the Kamal Musallam Quartet, which fused the sound of the oud with jazz, rock, and fusion.
An edition that confirmed the Faggiano festival's vocation to unite tradition and experimentation in the heart of the province of Taranto.
