The summer of 2025 confirmed Marsala as a key jazz destination in the Province of Trapani. Among the most important events, on the evening of July 28, 2025, the evocative open-air theater of the Sanctuary of Santo Padre delle Perriere hosted an international trio of the highest caliber: American pianist and composer Rachel Z, drummer Omar Hakim—one of the most influential in the world, a collaborator of David Bowie and Sting—and New York double bassist Jonathan Toscano.

The concert, scheduled from 9:00 PM, drew jazz enthusiasts and tourists to Marsala, reinforcing the city's jazz vocation, which serves as the foundation for the new festival spread across the wineries. The various initiatives of the Marsala jazz summer enlivened the area with concerts, festivals, and moments of encounter between music and wine culture.
