Itinerant Carnival

In 2025, in Leonforte and the neighboring municipalities of the Enna province, Carnival was celebrated according to local tradition, with masks, costumes, and village festivities animated by local associations. Leonforte has maintained a strong carnival vocation for decades, a legacy of the golden age of the early nineties, when its parades were compared to those of Sciacca and Acireale.

Following this tradition, the municipalities of Leonforte, Assoro, and Nissoria developed the idea of joining forces, giving life the following year to the first shared Itinerant Carnival. The 2025 edition therefore represents the prelude to this joint project, the last Carnival celebrated by the individual towns before the inter-municipal format.
