Edition 2025 — Linguaglossa Rollerski
2025 Edition
The inaugural edition of the Linguaglossa stage was held on June 21-22, 2025, marking the return of high-level rollerskiing to the northern slope of Mount Etna. The Saturday sprint saw a double victory for Michele Valerio (US Carisolo) in the men's category and Alba Mortagna (Valdobbiadene) in the women's, both securing their second consecutive success. On Sunday, the uphill race toward Piano Provenzana awarded the Italian Uphill Championship titles, featuring a course highly praised for its final three kilometers through the woods and its smooth asphalt.
Approximately 90 athletes from all over Italy participated, with the presence of Lillehammer 1994 Olympic champion Silvio Fauner as guest of honor. The event, organized by the Sci Club Linguaglossa Etna Nord presided over by Umberto Greco, was described by the organizers themselves as "a success beyond all expectations."
