Italian Outdoor Freediving Championship

2025 Edition

The 2025 Italian Outdoor Freediving Championship took place in Riva del Garda, in the waters of Porto San Nicolò, and is remembered as one of the most record-rich editions. In the constant weight with fins specialty, Davide Carrera reached -93 meters, while Simona Auteri set a new record at -79 meters, which the athlete herself defined as her fourth world record in a lake.

In constant weight without fins, Michele Usai (-67 m) and, in the Paralympic category, Alessandro Cianfoni (-40 m) stood out. The deep, clear waters of Lake Garda once again confirmed Riva del Garda as one of the most prestigious sites for competitive inland freediving, under the direction of FIPSAS and the Gruppo Sommozzatori Riva del Garda.
