Edition 2025 — Isola di Culture

The first edition of Isola di Culture took place from August 30 to September 3, 2025, at the Municipal Theatre of Ustica. Five evenings of free admission featuring civic theatre, tradition, and music, organised by the Municipality of Ustica and CoopCulture with the Collettivo Genìa and the Kangaroo association, closed the island's summer with stories of resistance, memory, and Sicilian song.

The first edition (2025)

From August 30 to September 3, 2025, the Municipal Theatre of Ustica hosted the first edition of Isola di Culture, five evenings dedicated to civic theatre, folk roots, and musical experimentation. The programme opened on Saturday, August 30, with "… dove le stesse mani", a theatrical story about a man killed by mistake by the mafia (directed by Dario Mangiaracina and Dario Muratore), followed on the second evening by "Oltre il sole e la luna c'è le stelle", a clandestine recital dedicated to Danilo Dolci with Ugo Giacomazzi and Luigi Di Gangi.

On Monday, September 1, the album "Ancora più buio" by Angelo Sicurella was presented; on September 2, the festival continued with "Sulis e Spitaleri", an encounter between the percussion of Dario Sulis and the piano of Diego Spitaleri, and with "Rosa cunta e canta", a tribute to Rosa Balistreri performed by Donatella Finocchiaro. Admission to all performances was free.
