Ionian Carnival 2025: a record-breaking success

The 24th edition of the Ionian Carnival took place in Santa Teresa di Riva from March 3 to 5, 2025, recording record-breaking public participation. Parading were eight allegorical floats and four masked groups, with over a thousand costumed participants from the towns of Santa Teresa di Riva, Sant'Alessio Siculo, Furci Siculo, Nizza di Sicilia, Fiumedinisi, and other towns of the Ionian Riviera.

The floats, inspired by themes ranging from amusement parks to pirates, from movie characters to fantastic settings, traveled along the town's main street amidst music and choreography. The program included three major parades plus one entirely dedicated to school children, with the grand finale hosted in the Bucalo Sports Hall. The organizational machine, coordinated by the Municipality together with civil protection, the Red Cross, and local police, ensured safety and regularity throughout the days.
