Edition 2025 — Shadow Theatre Festival
The 29th edition of the International Shadow Theatre Festival kicked off on June 10, 2025, at the Teatro Politeama in Poggibonsi with Polvere, written and performed by Saverio La Ruina with Cecilia Foti, an intense dialogue on the relationship between men and women produced by Scena Verticale. The programme continued at the Cassero della Fortezza with Le Bakkanti (June 13) and La bella e la bestia (June 14). Organized by the Fondazione Elsa Culture Comuni with the support of the Municipality of Poggibonsi and the Ministry of Culture, the edition confirmed the festival's commitment to puppetry and experimental theatre.
