International Folklore Festival

The 45th edition (2025)

The 45th International Folklore Festival was held on July 26 and 27, 2025 in the scenic Piazza Duca degli Abruzzi, in the historic center of Tagliacozzo (L'Aquila province, Abruzzo). Confirming its status as one of the longest-running and most popular events of the Tagliacozzo summer, the event organized by the "Luigi Venturini" Choir offered an authentic journey around the world through music, dances, costumes, and folk traditions.

For this edition, the guest groups arrived from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas as well as from various Italian regions: among the protagonists were ensembles from Benin, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, and the United States. As per tradition, the event was free to attend, attracting families, enthusiasts, and tourists to the square.
