Interazioni Festival 2025 – «Piène»

The fifth edition of Interazioni Festival, titled «Piène», was held in Rome from September 30 to October 5, 2025. Directed by choreographer Salvo Lombardo and produced by the Chiasma association in collaboration with ATCL – Associazione Teatrale fra i Comuni del Lazio, the edition featured 25 events including dance shows, performances, video installations, workshops, talks, and book presentations.

For the first time, the festival was split between two venues in the city's eastern quadrant: the Centrale Preneste (from September 30 to October 2) and the Spazio Diamante (from October 3 to 5). The theme of this edition explored decolonial and postcolonial perspectives, feminist and transfeminist issues, LGBTQ+ identities, accessibility, and the relationship between memory and imagination.

Highlights included three national premieres: Collected Screams by Sarah Vanhee, Blue Gaze in the Future: Dunes of Kajal by Mohamed Abdelkarim, and TAMAT by Aïda Jamal. The festival was realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture, SIAE, Roma Capitale – Department of Culture, and in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura, confirming its status as a benchmark event for contemporary dance in Lazio.
