About InStrada Gazzola

InStrada is the street festival that enlivens Via Roma at the beginning of September, in front of the Gazzola Town Hall, in the province of Piacenza. Two days of widespread celebration featuring food trucks, live music, DJ sets, a bartering market, local wine tastings, and activities for families. A free, outdoor event, designed by the Municipality to bring people together in the street and celebrate the Val Luretta community through good street food, crafts, and culture.

Gazzola's Street Festival

InStrada – Gazzola Street Festival is the street party organized by the Municipality of Gazzola, a small village in Val Luretta in the province of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna), at the beginning of September. The event unfolds along Via Roma, the main street of the town (the former provincial road that crosses the inhabited area), transformed for an entire weekend into a pedestrian promenade of stands, food stalls, stages, and outdoor activities.

An Urban Format for a Small Village

Launched in 2024, InStrada brings the street festival formula to Gazzola: street food stalls and food trucks, craft beer, wine tasting stations, live music, and DJ sets that entertain the public from afternoon into the evening. It's a festival designed to be experienced while strolling, where the town's main street becomes the common thread uniting gastronomy, entertainment, and social interaction.

What to Expect

  • Street Food with food trucks and stalls offering typical products from the Piacenza area;
  • Music and DJ Sets on both days, with guests and evening entertainment;
  • Bartering Market, a market for swapping clothes and items;
  • Wine Tastings from local wineries and craft beer;
  • Activities for Families and Children, with readings and moments dedicated to the little ones organized by the Municipal Library;
  • Yoga sessions and outdoor wellness offerings.

A Community Celebration

InStrada is not just entertainment: the municipal administration also uses it as an opportunity for the town's civic life, with moments dedicated to the community such as the awarding of bonuses to newborns and eighteen-year-olds. Admission is free and the event is open to all, in the true spirit of a village festival revisited in a contemporary way. For those visiting the province of Piacenza, it's also an opportunity to discover Val Luretta, its hills, and its wineries just a few kilometers from the provincial capital.
