The 2025 edition in Monreale
The 2025 edition of In the Sign of William was held in Monreale, in the province of Palermo, on the weekend of October 25 and 26, 2025. For two days, the historic center transformed into a medieval village, celebrating the figure of William II of Hauteville and the history of the Norman Cathedral.
The program featured the grand historical costume parade, period encampments and markets, performances by flag-wavers, archers, and drummers, falconry shows and equestrian demonstrations, medieval music and dancing, street arts and fire-eaters, up to the traditional medieval banquet. Promoted by the Municipality of Monreale, the event confirmed its success as one of the most scenic autumn appointments in the Sicily Region, with free admission and great participation from the public and families.
