Immaculate Conception Festival (with Immaculate Conception Fair)

The 2025 edition of the Immaculate Conception Festival took place on Monday, December 8th, in Grammichele, in the province of Catania. As per tradition, the festival was preceded by the novena in late November at the Church of the Immaculate in Piazza Marconi, marked by the singing of the stellario. On the afternoon of the feast day, the statue of Mary Most Holy Immaculate emerged from the church, welcomed by cannon fire, and was carried in procession through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the band and the faithful, to the Mother Church for the solemn Holy Mass. Accompanying the festivities, the Immaculate Conception Fair featured stalls of all kinds along the streets of the hexagonal city.
