Edition 2025 — Immaculate Conception Festival
The 2025 Immaculate Conception Festival in Cefalù celebrated a special milestone: 370 years since the establishment of the city's solemnity, commissioned by Bishop Gisulfo in 1655. Celebrations opened on November 29th with the novena in the Cathedral Basilica, marked each evening by the Rosary, the singing of the Stellario and litanies, and Mass, continuing until December 7th.
On December 8th, the Cathedral celebrated the solemnity's Masses throughout the day. At noon, at the Church of San Pasquale, the Bishop of Cefalù, Monsignor Giuseppe Marciante, and the Mayor paid floral tribute to the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception, followed by the blessing of the children. In the afternoon, the procession with the venerated icon traversed the streets of the historic center, accompanied by a band and a large turnout of the faithful. In the evening, celebrations concluded with the solemn Pontifical Mass in the Cathedral.
