Immaculate Conception Feast

The 2025 edition of the Immaculate Conception Feast took place in Agira on December 8th, confirming the calendar of the Marian solemnity in the Enna village. The exquisite statue of the Virgin, a work by the Neapolitan Giuseppe Picano (1787) kept in the Church of Santa Margherita, was carried in procession in the morning through the streets of the lower town and in the afternoon along the upper part of the village, until its return to the church for the celebration of Holy Mass. All local confraternities took part in the processions, in a day of strong popular participation and devotion.
