Edition 2025 — 'A Maculatedda
The 2025 edition of the Immaculate Conception feast in Baucina (PA) confirmed the traditional structure of 'A Maculatedda. The evening of December 7th kicked off along Corso Umberto I with stands offering tastings of local specialties—sausage, chickpea soup, seasoned bread, panelle, ricotta, and cheeses—accompanied by musical performances and street entertainment that animated the historic center until late at night.
Around 1:00 AM, the procession of the Immaculate Conception statue took place through the town streets, lit by torches and accompanied by the brass band. The night concluded, according to tradition, with the Dawn Mass at the Mother Church and the serving of traditional sweets—cannoli and sfingi—at the dawn of December 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception.
