Immaculate Conception Bonfire – Cungèttë a Sanda N'zëvírë

The 2025 edition of the Immaculate Conception bonfire was part of the major city event «Waiting for Christmas», promoted by the Municipality of San Severo. The celebration began at 6:00 PM on Corso Garibaldi with a choral performance by elementary school students accompanied by the Banda Città di San Severo, conducted by Maestro Antonello Ciccone, followed by the "Suspended Piano" concert with Maestro Paolo Zanarella and soprano Federica D'Antonino. In the evening, the Christmas tree was lit, and the city center streets were illuminated.

At 7:00 PM, on Via Padre Matteo d'Agnone, the 'a Cungèttë a Sanda N'zëvírë' votive ritual took place, organized by the Associazione Terra dei Fuochi Città di San Severo, with the opening of food stalls—also managed by the AGESCI scouts—and a live performance by the Discovascoband. Around 8:30 PM, the large bonfire was lit, accompanied by a pyrotechnic display by Pirotecnica San Pio. In 2025, the ritual was officially inscribed in the Apulia Region's Register of Fire Rituals.
