Imaginaria 2025, the 23rd edition

The twenty-third edition of Imaginaria was held in Conversano from August 17 to 24, 2025, in the cloister of the San Benedetto Complex, marking the festival's entry into the network of Oscar-qualifying festivals for the 2025-2027 period.

The guest of honor was the great French animator Michel Ocelot, creator of Kirikou and the Sorceress and a two-time César award winner, who was presented with a career achievement award. The competition featured 104 works from 36 countries, selected from over 3,400 submissions, created using a wide variety of techniques, from traditional drawing to stop-motion.

The program offered open-air screenings in the original language with Italian subtitles, exhibitions, workshops for children, animated readings, meetings with authors, and musical and theatrical performances, including the opening on August 17 with folk artist Nino Gvilia.
