The 2025 Vieste stage: "Viva la Vida"

In 2025, the 24th edition of Il Libro Possibile chose the theme "Viva la Vida," a hymn to life inspired by the song of the same name by Coldplay and the last painting by Frida Kahlo, interpreted as a manifesto of cultural resistance in difficult times. After the stage in Polignano a Mare, the festival concluded in Vieste from July 22 to 26, 2025, in Piazza della Marina Piccola, with daily live broadcasts on Sky TG24.

Great names and lectio magistralis

The edition brought together over 250 guests, with four lectio magistralis entrusted to some of the most authoritative voices of Italian thought: Massimo Cacciari, Umberto Galimberti, Stefano Mancuso, and Massimo Recalcati. Among the international guests were British writer Jonathan Coe and Iranian writer Azar Nafisi, a symbol of freedom against oppression. The grand finale in Vieste was entrusted to Drusilla Foer with the show "Parla con Dru – Chiacchiere e canzoni".
